DemvelPanels.com operates this store and website, including all related information, content, features, tools, products and services, in order to provide you, the customer, with a curated shopping experience (the “Services”). DemvelPanels.com is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information when you visit, use, or make a purchase or other transaction using the Services or otherwise communicate with us. If there is a conflict between our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, this Privacy Policy controls with respect to the collection, processing, and disclosure of your personal information.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using and accessing any of the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy and understand the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described here.

Personal Information We Collect or Process

When we use the term “personal information,” we are referring to information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to you or another person. Personal information does not include information that is collected anonymously or that has been de-identified. Depending on how you interact with the Services, where you live, and as permitted or required by applicable law, we may collect or process the following categories (including inferences drawn from them):

  • Contact details (name, address, billing/shipping address, phone number, email).
  • Financial information (credit/debit card and financial account numbers, payment card details, transaction details, payment confirmations).
  • Account information (username, password, security questions, preferences and settings).
  • Transaction information (items viewed, cart/wishlist activity, purchases, returns, exchanges, cancellations, past transactions).
  • Communications (information you include when contacting support or otherwise communicating with us).
  • Device information (device, browser, network, IP address, unique identifiers).
  • Usage information (how and when you interact with or navigate the Services).

Personal Information Sources

  • Directly from you (account creation, site visits/use, communications, forms).
  • Automatically through cookies and similar technologies when you use the Services.
  • From service providers that enable certain technology and process data on our behalf.
  • From partners or other third parties as permitted by law.

How We Use Your Personal Information

  • Provide, Tailor, and Improve the Services. To operate the Services; process payments; fulfill orders; remember preferences; send account notifications; handle purchases, returns, and exchanges; create and manage accounts; arrange shipping and returns; enable reviews; and personalize your shopping experience (including product recommendations).
  • Marketing and Advertising. To send promotional emails, texts, or mail; and to show ads on our Services or other sites (including interest-based ads based on your activity).
  • Security and Fraud Prevention. To authenticate accounts, secure payments and shopping, detect and investigate fraudulent, illegal, unsafe, or malicious activity, protect public safety, and secure our Services. You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe.
  • Communicating with You. To provide customer support and maintain our relationship with you.
  • Legal Reasons. To comply with law and legal process, handle disputes/litigation, and enforce our terms and policies.

How We Disclose Personal Information

We may disclose personal information to third parties for legitimate purposes, subject to this Privacy Policy, including:

  • With Shopify, vendors, and service providers (e.g., IT, payments, analytics, support, cloud, fulfillment, shipping).
  • With business and marketing partners to provide marketing services and advertising (including personalized/interest-based ads). Our partners use your information under their own privacy notices. Depending on where you reside, you may have a right to opt out of such sharing for targeted advertising. You can exercise your rights to opt-out of those uses here.
  • With your direction or consent, including shipping providers and social media widgets or login integrations.
  • With our affiliates or within our corporate group.
  • In connection with a business transaction (e.g., merger or bankruptcy), to comply with legal obligations, to enforce terms/policies, and to protect our Services, rights, users, or others.

Relationship with Shopify

The Services are hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the Services in order to provide and improve them. Information you submit may be transmitted to and shared with Shopify and certain third parties (including across borders) for these purposes.

To help protect, grow, and improve our business, we use certain Shopify enhanced features that incorporate data from your interactions with our store, with other merchants, and with Shopify. For those enhanced features, Shopify is the controller responsible for responding to your requests regarding that processing.

Learn more here: Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy. Depending on where you live, you may exercise certain rights via the Shopify Privacy Portal.

Third-Party Websites and Links

The Services may link to third-party sites or platforms. Review their privacy and security policies; we aren’t responsible for their practices, accuracy, or reliability. Information you provide in public or semi-public venues, including third-party social platforms, may be viewable by others. Inclusion of links doesn’t imply endorsement unless disclosed.

Children’s Data

The Services are not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of majority in your jurisdiction. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child provided personal information, please contact us to request deletion.

As of the Effective Date, we do not have actual knowledge that we “sell” or “share” (as defined by applicable law) personal information of individuals under 16.

Security and Retention of Your Information

No security measures are perfect; we cannot guarantee “perfect security.” Information sent to us may not be secure in transit—avoid unsecure channels for sensitive data.

Retention depends on factors such as account maintenance, Service provision, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and enforcement of contracts/policies.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights (subject to exceptions and verification):

  • Right to Access / Know the personal information we hold about you.
  • Right to Delete personal information we maintain about you.
  • Right to Correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
  • Right of Portability to receive a copy and request transfer in certain cases.
  • Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing / Targeted Advertising. You can exercise this right here. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, where applicable we will treat it as your opt-out for that browser/device. Other than GPC, we do not respond to other “Do Not Track” signals.
  • Managing Communication Preferences: you can unsubscribe from marketing emails via the link in our emails. We may still send non-marketing messages (e.g., about your account or orders).

You may exercise rights where indicated on the Services or by contacting us (see Contact). For Shopify’s processing related to enhanced features, see Shopify Privacy Portal.

We won’t discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You may designate an authorized agent; we may require proof of authorization and identity verification.

How to Control Your Data

  • Click the “Cookie Settings” link at the bottom of our site (if available), or
  • Email us at contact@demvelpanels.com with your request.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we will treat it as your opt-out preference for targeted advertising, “sales,” or “sharing” for the device and browser you use.

Complaints

If you have complaints about how we process your personal information, please contact us (see Contact). Depending on your location, you may have the right to appeal our decision or lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

International Transfers

We may transfer, store, and process personal information outside your country of residence. If we transfer your information out of the EEA or the UK, we rely on recognized transfer mechanisms (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) unless the destination country has been deemed adequate.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will post updates on this page, revise the “Last updated” date, and provide notice where required by law.
